A Kenyan Safari

The board of Touching Lives believes that our mission teams should have the opportunity to experience as much of the Kenyan culture as possible – we include a safari as part of that experience.

The true definition of the word safari is a journey or expedition. Our safari begin at the Golgatha Guest House after the final day of the medical camp. We travel approximately 4 hours to a lodge in the Masai Mara region. The lodges we use vary depending on availability and to allow for mission “frequent flyers” to experience a variety of lodges.

Generally the team will do a 2 hour safari on the way to the lodge, arriving in time to check into your tent or cabin and then enjoy a wonderful, western style meal. The second day includes 2 additional excursions into Masai Mara and the third day we travel back to Nairobi.
